Canvas is implied through this work - it is visible, yet never present. Layers of acrylic are built up in a silicon mould of a stretched canvas. Peeled out, the skins of acrylic are then manipulated, cut, folded to create a work of art that bridges the gap between painting and sculpture.

Piet's Green, 2010. Cast acrylic paint, cardboard, masking tape, staples. 21cm x 29cm
