The intersection of materials in Evian/Nivea/Evian is rooted in language. A bottle of Evian and a pot of Nivea moisturising cream share an anagrammatic link. Water drips from one Evian bottle into another but not before it passes through a Nivea pot, the content from which has been placed to one side. This subtle intervention helps to refocus attention on two overly-familiar brand identities and the role of packaging in the promotion of clear and colourless substances.
